Challenged Athletes Volunteer Clinic - June 15

The TriDevils are proud to be partnering with The Challenged Athlete Foundation to help physically challenged athletes achieve their Triathlon goals. Our goal is to connect with local challenged athletes who need race guides, training partners, or just to join in on group workouts.

The Challenged Athlete Foundation provides grants to athletes to be able to purchase prosthetics, bikes, etc. They're excited to partner with us so their grantees can have a local team to train with.

The CAF has invited all NJ TriDevils to join their upcoming "Leg Amputee Running and Mobility Clinic." In attendance will be amputees learning run technique, non-amputee volunteers learning to guide the athletes, and professional trainers and coaches teaching everyone.

Where: Asphalt Green, 555 E 90th St, NY, NY
When: Saturday, June 15th from 2:00 to 5:00.
Cost: Free!

Here's the link to the CAF flyer. Be sure to follow the link on the right side to sign up as a volunteer.

If you are planning to go, please let me know and be sure to wear your TriDevils gear proudly.

Note that there is a glitch in the CAF registration confirmation email. The email says starting time is at 8:15 am. But that is wrong. The start time is at 2:00 pm. Volunteers who arrive at 1:30 can get some extra training on how to be a guide before the athletes arrive.
